Cover art

Let's talk about the cover art—it's the first thing I want to update once Gamedev.js Jam 2025 wraps up.
Of course, it has to feature the goddess Libra. I've been calling her "Arbil" as an unofficial name, but after looking into it, I realized it’s typically masculine. So, I haven't settled on a final name just yet.
When I designed her character, I wanted her to feel playful in contrast to her divine and holy appearance. Instead of speaking, she communicates using weird hand signs.

But digital line art is time-consuming when I'm just a noob. So, I redrew it on A4 paper and just took a picture of it. At that time, I had 3 hours—not 3 days—before the deadline.
Btw, I’ll have some free time in the next two weeks and want to color this. It maybe traditional ways like watercolor and markers, or going fully digital for easier reuse.
One concern is that this kind of art style may not appeal to children. It has too much detail, and I wouldn't use popping colors. My style is somewhere between semi-realistic and manga. So, maybe I will change from an educational tag to just a children-friendly.
Target Group:
Educational game for children, but fully gamify so that the player wouldn't know
- Math practice for ages 12 and up (I don't support using tablets or playing computer games at a younger age)
- Around age 16, when students typically learn about this stuff (chemical equation balancing)
Puzzle casual game
- Anyone, especially if you like math or logic-based game
